The Story
The Marco (Polo) tray is a thin metal catchall that holds your pocket items or bedside necessities. The heavy steel core is powder coated for a durable finish and it comes in one color: swimming pool blue.
The asymmetric shape is inspired by a classic kidney pool. The kidney pool was invented by Alvar Aalto in 1939 but it took about 20 years to take off in the US and become a nostalgic symbol of backyard life in the 60’s. In 1975, the Californian drought emptied all of these pools and the local skaters found a new purpose for their curving walls which changed skateboarding forever. We’ve put this storied shape to good use as a reminder to be a little rebellious, but also to keep your shit together.
